So I get these weird urges to dig through the cook books at my house and make random things. The problem is, of course, that I never have enough of the ingredients. But I've wanted to try making flan for a long time now. I'm not sure if I beat the eggs right. I should have cross referenced some recipes, but I just went for it. Here's hoping.
Echo is napping again already, which is great. I should go find my book and actually read some more of it, since it's been weeks now since I've touched it. It's an awesome book, but I paused to read something more directly relating to my life and haven't dived back into it. I'm worried that I won't be able to put it down again. Once I'm into a book I read obsessively.
Family is finally gone from my house and what a releif! Now I have been informed that in October my grandmother will be staying with us for a week. So the plan is for Echo to stay in my room and just give grandma the twin bed, but not only does that still severely limit my Mike time, Echo will think she gets to sleep in my room. How much fun will it be switching her back to her room, while at the same time "Ga-Ga" goes away for the winter. I've also been informed that October 21st (Milwaukee, remember?) is probably going to be the day my parents go stay somewhere to celebrate their 25th wedding anniversary. I can't argue with that. But at least they'll be gone and Mike can stay over at my house. But it would have been so much fun...arg!
So I do have a back up plan. No dates have been set up yet, but Wookie Foot is back in town and they will be doing lots of shows. . .Halloween is their craziest, other than Harvest Fest(alas, that has already come to pass). So maybe we could go to that and party all night long? It would be on a monday, but all is not lost... We will have our time! I love Mike!
